I'm not finished transfering and converting all the pages to this new domain.
As I work on the transfer I will try to keep this opening construction page updated.

Intro to the Updates | These periodic updates may not be too frequent. Hopefully I can at least keep them updated enough to correspond with what is acutaly on the site. Once I am satisfied with the transfer I will no longer need these updates. I might archive them somewhere after that though. As of right now, I have not purchased the webspace. It is a friday today and I plan on setting it up sometime tonight. By the end of this weekend I should be able to start testing the proceedures for uploading my stuff to the webspace. Some of these first few updates might not be seen by others for awhile but they will be available once this construction page is first uploaded.

Setting up the Site | I submitted my order to surfspeedy.com to get the site rolling. They will be my server/ISP whatever you want to call my webspace here. Now begins the process of uploading pages, editing, testing, blah, blah, yadda, yadda.

Some Initial Progress | I had a little bit of an intial stumble in getting this stuff up. Sure I waited for the initial wait time for transfering the domain name from where I had registered it (Usually takes anywhere up to 72 hours after change is submitted). After that I was getting an error page by my current provider, which indicates that my inital stuff was there just not identified correctly. It turns out that my index page needed the full ".html" not just the ".htm" Picky, Picky, Picky. I had to make an adjustment to the index page. Some of my stuff like my Amazon.com Associates membership is only good for my old site, I think. Some of these services I'm not sure if I can transfer or better yet duplicate onto this site. I think they are just for the Geocities site. :( Well another reason to keep both sites up and running with the old one as a backup in case something happens here.

Work Computer ACK! | I've known for sometime that the machine I call a computer at work doesn't like doing somethings, like loading webpages that use Flash codes, even though I have tried several times to download a flash player. It also doesn't like doing most videos.[Sigh!] I think the fact that I can't get to my websites editing mode control panel is related to this NO FLASH problem. Whaaaaa! So even though I do some offline editing/creating of pages at work, I cannot update my site via my work computer so double ACK and Whaaaaaa!

Longer Than Anticipated. | ACK! The transfer, well actually the recoding, of this site is taking much longer than I had anticipated. At the rate I'm going it will be at least a year before this site looks the way I have invisioned it to be. I think that might have also been the case when I first did my Geocities site. It makes me think about this cartoon from www.cartoon.ru a russian cartoon archive. I'm guessing it is an archive, I haven't explored it much.
I first saw an edited and modified version of the cartoon from an email I had gotten. Notice that the caption "It's going to take me a little longer to answer my e-mails now..." is added at the top and at the bottom the artists signature was photoshoped out. I'm not sure who did that editing so I don't know if they had permission to change it or not. Probably not. I'd like to credit the original artist (A. Zygowicz?).
There are several variations on the theme of a cat eating the computer mouse, or as I searched for it "cat as computer mouse" to find the original unedited version of the Russian drawing (It took awhile). A very similar cartoon but completely different drawing style and from the opposite viewing angle, that is almost a mirror image, is at www.CartoonStock.com. But I digress. Part of my problem is making time to do the updates (between work and my threatre stuff and doing my articles for TJ's Daily Irish News and helping with it's Geocities website). It isn't just a simple cut and paste. I also have to do some reformating and editing, not to mention the download/upload process from one site to the other. There doesn't seem to be a simple grab it from the web way to do it. This construction page I guess has turned into a sort of blog. I suppose I should organize the entries newest to oldest, the other way around from how I have it now. That works great for informing people what the lastest update is, but when I first decided to have this page I was thinking in terms of when people first come to my site during what I thought would be just a couple of days to a few weeks. It might take longer. This way people read about the updates in their proper order. OK. Lets see what has actually been done to this site:

Update the masses. | The time will come very soon when I will have to let the Nesredna Group in on these updates. I haven't sent a message there yet because I was hoping I could get this mess up faster but it doesn't look like that will happen the way I intended. It seems to be getting messier and messier. If I give up or don't make payments to the service providers then I will be back at square one, which is having an almost full website with no room to expand and plenty of material to fill up at least two more websites. Very Big Sigh! That is not acceptable to me. There are so many things to take into consideration. So many tiny things to tweek on each page. UGH! Why did I even bother to start in the first place? Well because it's fun to put a webpage together and see it up and running. On rare occasions it actually helps. On one such occasion an old friend and acquaintance of my sister found my Geocities site and my mention of my sister, so he emailed me asking if she had worked at such-and-such blah blah blah yadda yadda, which she had and it turns out he was someone whom she and other friends who had known him had lost contact and were wondering where he got to. OK so stuff I did today (At work instead of work)

Year End Stuff in February. | I sent an update to my Nesredna Group YahooGroup, to inform them of this site being up and to keep the group active for a minimum of 90 days. If I don't keep it active within 90 days Yahoo will delete the Group messages and all. So I need to occasionally just send a brief check it out even though there are no updates Update. OK so Now you should be able to get to my theatre pages, which includes my theatre resumé and The Techies Gospel (I think I have a few things to add to that sometime, I just need to find where I have those "You know you've been in community theatre too long when..." lists). Don't worry about the graphics on there that aren't showing up, I haven't transfered them to this domain yet (Ugh!). As I said before there are tons of little tweeks that need to be done. A webmasters work is never done, and there is never any time for it. My Year In Review End of year Holiday letters have been added here. I am working on an archives only 2004 review since I never actually sent out a review for that year. I'm a Blazy (Busy + Lazy) procrastinator.

Early April Update | Sorry for any confusion as to what is and what is not on the site. Pages mentioned in these updates should be on the site, but may not have a direct link to them from the main page, yet. As I add stuff I try to update the older stuff to reflect the additions, sometimes I miss stuff. You should be able to see the following pages:
Techie Page (techie.html) - Has the famous Techies Gospel among other Theatre related stuff. Oh and remember if at anytime you are visiting this site and you run accross a bad link, that is a link that goes nowhere or you get a "Can't find" type of error please make a note of what page the link was on and tell me the page and the link as well as what the problem was. Also if you see broken graphics, on pages let me know, except for the pictures as noted above on my Theatre Resumé and My Theatre Links page. I know those are broken because I haven't uploaded the corresponding pictures to the site yet. Soon, very soon. Recent Updates:

After Tax Time April Update. | ACK! I've been noticing a problem with my logo graphic, or rather with part of the background for the table cell that the graphic is in. I have apparently been confusing the web browsers by mixing some of my coding for the graphic's size. I was using a percentage for the width and the actual pixel count for the height. Normally I think this wouldn't be much of a problem for regular display purposes, but when its within a table, then disaster strikes. Using a percentage tells the browser how much screen space, or cell space, the graphic should take up, it is not an exact size. Using pixel count for size gives an exact size. Hopefully by making the width size a pixel count instead of a percentage there will be no more confusion and the graphic and table will load properly every time, or most every time. OK lets move on. On a test page I experimented with changing the background color, white seems to look best with my selections of blues. A light cream yellow also works rather well, but I want to be consistant with my formating. I thought about alternating between the two, but the white looks more professional. Many of the blue shades as a background color were too distracting, it was as if I had outlined everything in Shocking Pink. The cream yellow color is the background color my old Geocities site was. I am also trying to work on some of the stories, and reviews of mine and stuff like that "behind the scenes" so when I get their main pages up I will already have some of the subpages on-line. Raconteur In Colour. | My my, it's been over a month since I've done any updates... ACK! OK so I'm trying to get my butt in gear and finish the old small stuff, so I can get on to the big mother-load of my Kirk's Knook Episodes. The thing that will take a lot of effort with that is adding all the goofy graphics and pictures. I can add some of those now, but they won't be seen until I link the Episodes to them. I've gotten my Stories & Stuff section up and finished. So now you can read original stories and poems of mine, plus a few humorous tid-bits from sources unknown. OH they have a different color pattern than my other pages here, they are in shades of red rather than blue. The only other section I plan on altering the color pattern on is my School Daze! section, I plan on making that one with greens. OH with the Stories most if not all of them have all the left hand links to my pages even some pages I haven't uploaded yet. This way I don't have to go back and update the individual story pages when I upload those new sections. It also means that if you click on a left hand link from a story you will get the typical "can't find page" error message or worse, so it is best to contiune to use the back button while reading stories, or click on the Stories & Stuff logo at the top each story page to return to the main Stories page. Now that I have confused half of those who are bothering to read this, I will move on. In other stuff I'm doing, I am working on my Year In Review Letter for 2005. Since it is a Year In Review of the current callendar year, I will not have it finished until near the end of December this Year. I plan on sending it out to a select few, then posting it on the site on or near the New Year. Note: My Missing Year Review for 2004 is up and running as of 09 April, 2005. Cool Huh? I am also working on my School Daze pages, I have a few ideas for them, but need to work on them some, so they might not make this end of May update. For the fun of it, I have started a "Blog" for the site. To get to it you will need to click on the Blog link at the bottom of the page. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it is after all just an experiment, and I didn't know where else to put the link. Recent Updates:

X-Fer To Blog Page. | OK. So It seems to me that I have totally ignored this page (and the index page) while doing the updates to my semi-blog. I have also been mentioning the construction updates in my blog page, sort of. So from this day forward my Blog Page will act as the construction page. I think. Recent Updates:
