Episode 9: Number Nine, Number Nine, Number Nine...

Before we start this weeks episode I'd like to...ACK! Last week in episode 8 I forgot to mention the latest Wacky Dance Craze. The Ketchup Song, no joke, which is a huge hit in Europe and has recently hit the US shores and the charts. It's sung in Spanish mostly with some non-sense words that sound Spanish to appeal to English speaking fans I guess. I haven't heard it but so long as it's "Ketchup" and Not "Catsup" then it's OKie Dokie Dominokie by me. Which brings us to this weeks episode, unfortunately I just have a "B" plot for this episode, so to make the "A" plot of this episode we'll throw in some old Star Trek dialogue. No one will ever notice.

Captains Log Stardate 237269 point 5: Commander Spock and Doctor McCoy have once again given me the biggest migraine this side of Deneb Six.

Since I forgot to mention one little thing last week, it reminded me of the various ways people try to remember things. Many years ago people used to tie a string around their finger to help them try to remember. Try to Remember hmmm that sounds like there's a Fantastick song there. Unfortunately using that technique you usually loose the circulation in your finger before you remember the thing you tried to remember by tying the string in the first place.

"Captain there's Klingon's on the Starboard Bow, Starboard Bow, Starboard Bow...It's life Jim but not as we know it."

Then people started making "To Do Lists". Perhaps it began with stone-aged cave-dwelling men carving picture symbols onto tree bark and chunks of wood, or chalking them onto flat and semi-flat hand held rocks. Eventually man discovered how to produce paper and writting instruments like pencils and pens. With the invention of the computer these lists started becoming electronic.

"He's Dead Jim!"

Finnally the "To Do List" has gotten back to the hand with PDA's (Personal Data Assistant) And the U.S.S. Enterprise is on it's merry way back to Capsilon Seven and Captain Kirk's personal Orion Slave Girls.

Have a happy and safe New Year,
Thank You and See Ya!

Kirk
