Episode 10: A Rare Gem!

Previous Episode | Next Episode
Hello welcome back to Kirk's Knook. This weeks episode might be a short one, unless I go on a huge rant, (and as some of you know that could take days). OK so what is up with these CDs, books and DVDs/Videos and whatnots with their special Collector's Editions and worse yet "rare never before seen photos". Well after selling about 15 Million copies of the disc or books I don't think those publicity or concert photos or whatever photos can be called "rare" anymore. A more accurate term would be "previously unpublished" or "previously unreleased". But I suppose either term can get pretty boring when used for 60 million different products. Of course they could call it "Must have, never owned before, and will never be re-released." But that isn't as sensational as using "Rare" and doesn't sell as many copies.

OK so lets see would be considered rare. A first printing of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer or The previously unreleased concert photos from Paul McCartney's Back in the US Concert CD (Advertised as being "Rare"). Well that is about it for now. So until next week Buckaroos!

Thank You and See Ya Next Week,

Kirk

In the vessel with the pestle,
The chalice from the palace,
has the brew that is true."
~ The Court Jester starring Danny Kaye (1956)
