Here are a few links of The Theatres I work with, know someone who does, or just plain like to see their shows.
Adventure Theatre: This was the first real (Non-School) theatre I worked at. They are professional Children's Theatre.
Cedar Lane Stage: So far I've only done one show with this group. Maybe sometime I shall do another with them.
Damascus Theatre Company: Located in Damascus, MD. My good buddy Bill Spitz got me involved with this group. I support them when I can.
Greenbelt Arts Center: Although I've never worked with this group I've known several people who have, and perhaps one day I will work here. I've seen several of their productions and have been to a few of their parties. Who was that sexy redhead?
Kensington Arts Theatre (KAT): in Kensington, MD at The Kensington Town Center Armory. This is my "Home" Theatre Group. Formed in July 2002 they are a spin-off group of SSTG. They specialize in Musicals. They look for shows that are Artistic and slightly off the main stream.
The Montgomery Playhouse at Asbury: In Gaithersburg, MD. I've worked with this community theatre as well, although it's been a while. They now reside at the Asbury Methodist Village.
Rockville Musical Theatre: I haven't worked with this group, but many of it's members have worked with KAT, SSTG, Mont. Playhouse & DTC. Perhaps I will work with them someday.
The Round House Theatre: Professional theatre that started out using a round building that was originally a public elementary school, thus the name. They are now in newly built facilities (square not round) in a couple of locations [Bethesda and Silver Spring].
Sandy Spring Theatre Group (SSTG): I have worked with this friendly group since February 1993, and in that time I have acted, directed, assistant directed, carried platforms (NOT FUN), built sets (even designed one), stage managed, designed and opperated sound, opperated lights, hung lights, stage crewed, House Managed and even produced with them. I've done everything but costumes and light design. In the spring of 2001 I directed the Larry Shue Comedy The Foreigner (the first SSTG show at the Kensington Armory home of SSTG's sister group Kensington Arts Theatre) check out our review and the cast/ crew list.
Silver Spring Stage I've worked with this theatre a couple of times. They operate out of the basement floor of what was at one time a bowling alley and then a karate studio, the rehearsal spaces still have some the wooden floor and holes in the walls from the karate studio days. Their big obstacle is a concrete support beam/pole that lines one corner of the stage between the two audience bleacher sections, but they encorporate it very well.
Toby's Dinner Theatre: The Dinner Theatre of Columbia MD. A professional Dinner Theatre that performs in the round. I've known several people who have worked, or still work there. Before moving to California my Sister Adrienne worked there.
